🔍 FAQs (For Teens and Young Adults)
Do I have to talk about everything right away?
Nope. We go at your pace. You get to decide what you share and when. My job is to create a space where you feel safe enough to open up when you’re ready.
Is this like school counseling?
Not really. This is one-on-one therapy designed just for you. We talk about what you want — not grades or rules — and we work on tools that help you feel more in control of your life.
What if I don’t even know what’s wrong?
That’s okay! A lot of people feel that way at first. We’ll figure it out together, step by step.
👪 Information for Parents & Guardians
As a parent, you want your child to be happy, healthy, and safe — but it can be hard to know how to help when they’re struggling. I work with adolescents and young adults who may be dealing with anxiety, ADHD, emotional challenges, or questions around identity and belonging.
My approach is:
- Compassionate and collaborative
- Trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming
- Rooted in evidence-based practices like DBT and TF-CBT
While sessions are private, I welcome appropriate communication with parents and caregivers. My goal is to support the whole family — not just the individual — in building healthier patterns and greater understanding.
If you’re unsure if your teen is ready for therapy, or if you’d like to ask questions before booking, I offer free consults to help you decide.
Mission Statement
Wee help teens and young adults who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck—whether it’s struggling to focus, manage big emotions, cope with anxiety or depression, or figure out who they are. We offer a safe, judgment-free space grounded in trauma-informed care, where you can talk openly, feel truly seen, and begin to heal. Using realistic tools, we walk with you through the messy parts of life toward peace, clarity, and confidence in who you’re becoming. Together, we wander with purpose and heal with intention.

2. Empowerment Through Self-Discovery
Helping adolescents recognize their own strength and capability by walking alongside them in their journey—not leading or dragging, but gently guiding.
3. Authentic Connection
Building relationships based on trust, empathy, and shared humanity. Counseling at Wander and Wisdom Wellness is never transactional—it’s transformational.
4. Whole-Person Healing
Honoring the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected, and approaching mental health with a trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered lens.
5. Radical Inclusion
Affirming all identities, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community, and creating a therapeutic space that is safe, affirming, and empowering.
6. Resilience as a Pathway to Peace
Believing that resilience isn’t just about surviving—but growing, healing, and discovering peace and wholeness.
7. Wisdom Through Wandering
Embracing the truth that healing is not linear. Every step, even the wandering, has value and meaning. There is wisdom in the journey itself.
